We spend or should it be said “waste” so much time praying for our needs. We pray loudly about all that we believe we are suffering from and want. Jesus refers to this as pagan prayers.
Matthew 6:31-32 : «So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.»
Truth is, God made this world and everything in it before He created man! That means we came into the world with every single need already met. God established His plan for our lives before our birth (Jeremiah 1:5). So, since every need has been addressed and provided for, what is left for us to do?
« But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light » 1 Peter 2:9
We live not for ourselves but for the Lord Jesus who saved us. As we go about our lives, every part of us must permeate the presence of God and give Him glory. Halleluia. We are light and salt. We live as ambassadors for Christ; we speak on His behalf, we represent Him every where and anytime. We are His prophets.
The son of God has appeared to destroy the works of the devil, that is what we do. (1 Jean 3:18)
Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power, he went from place to place doing good and healing all those who were oppressed by the devil for God was with Him. That is what we do because God is with us. (Acts 10:38)
Jesus said that “doing” the work of God is to “believe” in Jesus. Period. (John 6:29)
How do we believe? Faith comes from hearing over and over from the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
Our only job is to seek the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus. Everything else – provision, health, even works for Him – HE has already planned it out BEFORE the foundation of the world. Way before we were born, the plan and the provison were done. It’salready done. Only believe. Amen
So we must be in the word.
Philippians 3:8 (nkjv): «Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord,»
Being in the word day and night will bring revelation; revelation from the word is faith from the heart. Faith empowers prayer. Effective prayer brings down the manifestation of God’s plan.
Be available. Be hungry for the word of God. Be ready for every good work.
